Paul Kazibwe
Audio Post Specialist · Dialogue Editing, ADR & Mix
Paul cleans up and mixes the sound you hear in films and documentaries: dialogue editing, ADR, noise cleanup, sound effects and final mixes. He mixed the dialogue on 3 Cold Dishes (2025), the feature executive produced by Burna Boy that won Best Sound at the 2025 REFFA Awards in Ghana. His credit list also covers seven DSTV television shows, the NSSF series Friends With Benefits and more than ten award-winning features and shorts.

He knows Quad-A from the inside, too. Paul ran production here from 2016 to 2020, and he has spent years helping beginners find their footing in film audio. His classes lean on real project files with real problems: hums, clicks, off-mic lines and broadcast deadlines.

Andrew has spent twenty years making sure African stories sound the way they deserve to sound. He was music mixer on Disney's Queen of Katwe, worked on Burna Boy's 3 Cold Dishes, and has written 33 scores for film, television and documentary. The Red Sea Festival Labs named him one of the top ten composers working out of Africa, and he holds a Dolby certification for immersive re-recording mixes.

He is Managing Director of Quad-A Group and the reason this academy exists. Away from cinema he consults on acoustics for buildings and AV installations, on specialised rooms such as ENT audiology booths, and for churches running live services and streams every week. He has judged the Uganda Film Festival and the Silverback Awards, and teaches masterclasses at Durban FilmMart and across East Africa.

Who is the “Sound Production for Film” course for?

Do I need any prior experience or qualifications?
No formal qualifications are required. A genuine interest in sound and a willingness to practise are what matter most. Any specific prerequisites are listed on the program page before you apply.
What equipment do I need?
A laptop or desktop, a stable internet connection, headphones, and a DAW (we help you set up a free or trial DAW during onboarding).
How long is the course and how is it delivered?
Each course runs over four modules with self-paced lessons, practical assignments, and a final assessment. You can learn on a laptop, desktop, or tablet, the platform is optimised to work even on 2G/3G connections.
Will I get a certificate, and how do payments work?
You finish able to edit, mix, and deliver broadcast- and film-standard audio, with a portfolio piece to show for it. Tuition can be paid by card or mobile money; bank and MTN MoMo instructions are shown at enrollment, and scholarships are available for eligible applicants.
